Meghan is Wilson’s Group Fitness Assistant Director. She is a certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, both through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). She also holds certifications in Oh Baby! Fitness (a pre- and post-natal exercise program); Les Mills BodyAttack, BodyPump and RPM; Stages Indoor Cycling and Flight; and Pilates. She currently teaches BodyPump, RPM, Hot Barre, Kickboxing and BodyAttack, and is a personal trainer.
When she was pregnant with her first child, Meghan was 120 pounds heavier. “I learned how quickly lifestyle and diet can get out of control.” Meghan came to work (with her baby) in the Wilson’s playcenter in 2006. Being in a supportive, healthy environment led to weight loss, fitness, and education. In 2009 she became a personal trainer and was excited to help others. She maintained a healthy diet and weight through her other three pregnancies, and her passion for exercise grew to encompass group fitness as well. She has been married 15 years to her husband Will, and they have four kids; Conner (daughter) 12, Shane (daughter) 8, Lachlan (daughter) 6, and Tadhg (son) 4. They also have a Rottweiler, French Bulldog, cat, cornsnake, and a hamster. They just recently sold their 5400 sq ft house, bought 10 acres in Rocheport, and are building a modern minimalist house (1500 sq ft). She says the downsizing has been an interesting transition. Meghan enjoys reading and always has three books going at once, gardening, Girl Scouts (where she leads a 7th grade Cadette troop), and loves hanging out with family & friends.
Why does Meghan loves what she does? “I love motivating people to feel empowered and successful; to do something they didn’t think they could do, or be someone they didn’t think they could be.” She also loves the camaraderie that develops within a class, training session, and the gym community.
