- Please bring a water bottle to all classes to stay hydrated.
- Yoga mats are required for yoga and barre classes.
- Aerobics specific shoes are recommended for cardio classes and S.P.D. cycling shoes are recommended for cycling classes.

Classes have been set up to complement each other. Please feel free to attend more than one class to achieve overall fitness.
*SPECIALTY CLASS ENROLLMENT: (Regular classes do not require enrollment) Advanced booking is encouraged for Specialty Classes and is available one week prior to class.
- Enroll online or at your club.
- No refunds are given for cancellations less than two hours prior to class time.
- If you have not enrolled prior to arriving at the club, you may be placed on a waiting list until 5 minutes before class begins.
- Once you arrive at the club, please check in at the front desk and receive a wristband which will be collected by the instructor prior to the start of class.
- All participants must have signed in 5 minutes prior to start of class to ensure their spot. This is for your safety to get acclimated to the heat as well as to open space for those on the waiting list. If you have not checked in 5 minutes prior to class, your spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list and no refunds will be given.
- For those whose membership includes unlimited free specialty classes, a cancellation fee of $5 will be assessed to your account for any class cancelled less than 2 hours prior to class. A $5 cancellation fee will also be assessed if you are too late to attend or don’t show up for class.

This 60-minute class provides focused practice that strengthens and tones muscles, increases bone density and establishes correct body alignment through asanas, breathing techniques, warm ups and relaxation.
Instructor: Chris Kelly-Gwartney
Chris is certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). She is also an RYT200. Since 1985, she’s been teaching group fitness—over 20 years, and came onboard at Wilson’s in 2012, where currently teaches yoga. Chris is actively competing in the NPC Figure Division at the National level. She also travels and teaches group fitness and yoga with several companies at resorts throughout the Caribbean.
Chris loves passing on the knowledge she’s gained over the years to her students and lives by the mantra, ‘Embrace and love your body. It’s the most amazing thing you will ever own.’

Begin with full yogic breathing, followed by various stretching and warm-up postures to develop flexibility and turn one’s attention inward. Progress through sun salutations in a slow and methodical manner to synchronize breath with movement, and create heat in the body. Join with spinal twists, shoulder stand and a final posture before going into relaxation pose with guided meditation. Appropriate for all levels of experience and practice. Class length is 60 minutes.

Yinghui (“Susan”) has been teaching Yoga and Aerial at Wilson’s since 2018. She has her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate, and has trained in Yoga Barre, Kids, Seniors, Props, and Warriors, and has been practicing yoga for 20 years. Working in the technology field, she would stare at a computer for hours and thought yoga was only for very fit people. Then she tried a free class and immediately fell in love with the mindset that everybody is a yoga body. She was inspired by the authentic, non-judgemental teaching and the compassion-centered philosophy and so decided to begin her yoga journey!
Growing up with a family that practiced ancient Chinese Qigong meditations, Susan now weaves thought-provoking meditations and mindful movement throughout her classes. She applies ancient wisdom to our contemporary western world in a useful and understandable way, leading others and herself to create dynamic harmony between yin and yang, and to walk the path toward a happier, healthier, and more conscious life. She is passionate about teaching and sharing her yoga journey, as well as the benefits of yoga and aerial.
Susan feels that the most important rules of her life were learned from yoga: #1 is the Mountain Pose; always stand tall with your shoulders back! #2 is Child’s Pose; take care of ourselves and connect body and brain, as our body is the child of our soul. #3 is mindful breathing; regardless of what’s happening, the unconscious breath is the repetitive prayer that goes on continuously in all living creatures.

Cindy Brengarth has taught many fitness classes at various facilities around Columbia, MO since the early 1980’s and started teaching at Wilson’s in 1988 – the same year that she became an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor. She also holds a YogaFit Level 1 certification and a BS in Nursing from UMC. She currently teaches Kettleworx, TBW, and Yoga.
As a nurse Cindy believes you invest in your health or pay into your illness and so she loves to inspire people to take care of their health. She likes getting to know the members and helping them love themselves to health and fitness. “Together we will feel the breath of life in our lungs and hearts as we work our way to fitness. It is never too late to begin a program to improve your health. I am here to help you achieve your goals!”
Adam Everson is a personal trainer, certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and teaches Kettle Circuit, TRX, and TBW classes. He started at Wilson’s in 2018 but was an instructor for three years prior. Adam has been active his whole life, but it wasn’t until 2015 when he decided to dedicate himself to learning more about the science behind exercise and fitness. He is also a mental health professional with experience in exercise psychology. His mental health training has provided insight into behavior change and motivation that he uses in his teaching.
Adam loves seeing people succeed and find enjoyment in exercise. In his classes, he always tries to incorporate some level of education, whether its what something is, or why the class is doing it. “Knowledge is one of the most empowering gifts you can give someone, so I always incorporate education as a means of empowering my class.” The other part that is so rewarding about teaching is the social circle it develops. “Just through shared experiences and proximity, you get to know the people you see every week for class without even meaning to. When someone is gone, you notice it! So for anyone looking to find a program to stick it, I recommend coming to a weekly class! You will begin to build those connections, and you’ll quickly find those friends will hold you accountable.” Also, Adam enjoys a good laugh so expect at least a handful of jokes every time you take one of his classes!

Take water exercise to the next level with this challenging full hour, total body workout. This class uses the water’s resistance and increases the workload with drag and buoyant equipment. Bring a water bottle because you’re going to sweat!
Instructor: Tina England
Tina got her start in fitness in the early 90’s as a group exercise participant and was invited to train as an instructor for a local health club in Amarillo, TX. She started with aquatic exercise and delved into as many facets of that format as she could find, excelling as an instructor. Through the years, she branched out to teaching various aerobics, strength and flexibility, bootcamp and HIIT style, yoga, and pilates classes. More recently, her interests lean toward the aerial arts.
Tina is certified in AEA, AFAA, ICSA Pilates, Moms in Motion, Hydrofit, and Arthritis Foundation. She has been an instructor for 27 years and started at Wilson’s in 1992. She currently teaches water aerobics, pilates, yoga, aerial yoga, and aerial hammock skills. Over the years, she has found that her overall health (physical and mental) is better and she is capable of so much more than others her age because she has stayed fit. She loves teaching because of the interaction with her participants and seeing them evolve. As they become stronger and more proficient, she likes to find new or different ways to challenge them and help them achieve their goals. “Seeing participants’ smiles, hearing their success stories, and watching their confidence grow proves to me that I am making a difference in their lives.”
In her spare time, she makes cakes – big/small, fancy, fun, fondant, crazy cakes! It started when her son asked her to make a soccer ball cake for his 11th birthday. She thought, “Hey, I’ve watched a lot of Cake Boss – I’ll give it a go!” Her background in graphic design and art transferred over nicely and she’s been creating fun, edible works of art ever since.

This is a simple, athletic and fun 60-minute workout using the step. Expect to achieve toning for the lower body, increased cardio fitness and coordination, and upper and lower body conditioning for functional strength. (Express = 30 or 45 minutes)
Instructor: Claire Schmidt
Claire is certified in Les Mills BodyStep and BodyPump and started teaching at Wilson’s in 2019. Claire has been a Wilson’s group fitness enthusiast since 2011. She worked hard over the course of years to raise her fitness level and BodyStep was the class that made her overcome her fear of cardio. Once she was able to comfortably do all the high options in BodyStep, she wanted a new challenge and wanted to share her love of the class with others, so now she teaches it and BodyPump!
What she loves most about teaching is seeing the joy and pride at achievement in participants coming from a variety of backgrounds and fitness levels. Claire has come a long way in her fitness journey. She feels that group fitness classes at Wilson’s gave her the information, support, and motivation to become stronger, faster, and healthier than she believed she could ever be!

Chuck started teaching spinning at Wilson’s in 1997, after becoming certified in Johnny G. Spinning. Fitness has played a major role in Chuck’s life; he has been a triathlete, road runner, cyclist, weightlifter, baseball player, and wrestler. Chuck first started working at Wilson’s at the front desk and would take spinning classes on his days off, but as an employee, he would have to give up his bike to a member if the class filled. Tired of getting booted, he decided to become the instructor!
Chuck loves to push his clients, to make them work harder than they thought they could, and to see the results. Plus, he likes being in control! He wants his members to know that they are capable of way more than they think. If they train hard and learn to control their doubt and anxiety, they can exceed their goals.

Stages Flight invites the indoor cyclist into a whole new world of exciting experiences, challenges and competitions. With Stages Flight, cyclists can race against themselves, each other or even the clock. Each rider has a customized intensity profile based on % max watt produced by the Stages Power Meter, the same device that Team Sky, winner of the Tour de France, trained on. You’ll feel like you’re truly in the zone as images displayed on a large screen create one-of-a-kind experiences.

This barre inspired workout is one of the fastest, most effective ways to burn calories and get toned! Yes, Hot Barre is centered around a ballet barre and inspired by the workout routine by ballet legend Lotte Berk, but the barre is simply there to provide stability, balance, and support as you move through exercises that target the core, glutes, arms, and legs. No dance experience necessary, you just need to know these three numbers: 95 degrees, 45 minutes, 800 calories! Not recommended during pregnancy. Please consult your physician.ENROLL IN CLASS

Though she’s been a group fitness junkie for over 15 years, Emily became an instructor in 2018. Certified in Les Mills BodyAttack, she currently teaches BodyAttack, Total Body Workout (TBW), and Hot Barre. Emily has been active her whole life, but started taking group fitness classes after college and became hooked! She had always wanted to become an instructor, but didn’t know if and when that would happen… then when one of her favorite classes was taken off the schedule due to lack of instructors, the time seemed right.
Not only has becoming an instructor changed her own fitness level, but she loves being able to help fellow members challenge theirs as well. Having members tell her they fit into their “goal” pants or that they are feeling good in the later stages of their pregnancy is so rewarding and pushes her to continue growing in her own journey, so she can help people continue to grow in theirs. She also really loves the friendships and camaraderie that are forged in group fitness classes. She wouldn’t trade this “job” for anything in the world. It’s two of her favorite things rolled into one – working out and being with friends.
Emily wants members to know that if she can do it, they can do it. When she found out she was pregnant with quadruplets in 2015, she gave away all of her “regular size” clothes and was certain she would never look the same again. While her body (and her life) has changed since then, she finally began exercising again when the babies were 18 months old, and slowly but surely, she started to feel like herself again. “It’s not about what shape you’re in, what size you are, or what you think a “gym” person looks like. This is your health journey and what matters is that you show up. Just come. Group fitness is a truly a no-judgement zone and you will not find a more encouraging group of people to spend an hour with. Let your instructors and your classmates be your cheerleaders and come enjoy your workout!”

Anah became certified in Les Mills BodyCombat in 2018 and has been teaching it at Wilson’s since then. She chose to become an instructor because group fitness changed her life. Growing up struggling with her weight and health, she discovered group fitness classes (along with personal training and lifting) her senior year of high school. She made the conscious decision to take her life back. She loved the community of a class, the personal, cared-for feeling each instructor gave you. “They made me feel like I could conquer anything, like I was valued, important, and had a purpose. That would get me through class, and even more – life.” What started out as something she felt like she had to do turned into something she looked forward to doing all day!
Anah wants members to feel like that when they come to her class; its a place where they can give everything they have to walk out feeling stronger emotionally, mentally, and physically. “It’s about so much more than what happens in a one-hour class – it’s how you take your life back and care for yourself in mind, body, and spirit!” What she loves best about teaching is getting to know members and seeing them get stronger, fitter, and overall happier. She loves learning about their stories. She wants to teach that PROGRESS is what matters, not perfection. Everybody’s roads look different, but we’re all on them together! Anah wants members to know that group fitness is for EVERYBODY. There is a class (or two, or three!) out there for everyone. Instructors care for you in and out of the gym. “To be able to do life with you is a privilege that motivates both us and you!”

Vesta is certified in Les Mills BodyPump, teaching at Wilson’s since May of 2014. She participated in many sports growing up and has always loved being physically active. After attending TigerX classes at Mizzou, she fell in love with group fitness. Upon graduating, she joined Wilson’s and started attending many classes… but she was intimidated by BodyPump and did not try it right away. Once she did, she was hooked, and it became her favorite class! It still is, along with BodyCombat, BodyAttack, Yoga, and BodyFlow.
Vesta became a regular BodyPump participant and was always in the front row. When her instructor, Lisa Kent, came up to her after class and said, “You know, if you know the choreography better than I do, then it is time to get certified!” Vesta laughed her off at first, but the more she thought about it, the more she liked the idea! She got certified right away. She loves everything about group fitness; the music, the movements, the people. She loves how it brings people together, creates relationships, and challenges people to push themselves. She loves being their cheerleader and their coach. “Fitness changes lives!”
Vesta teaches kindergarten at Mill Creek Elementary and has taught in Columbia for 9 years. She has a wonderful husband, Phil, who loves coming to her Saturday classes and being in the front row! They have a two year-old son, Auggie, who might be a BodyPump instructor some day! She is a health food nut and enjoys talking about healthy eating.

High-intensity interval training (HIIT), one of the hottest fitness trends on the planet, is the fastest way to get fit and in shape. Short, sharp bursts of effort allow you to reach maximum training zones and that’s the secret to athletic performance.
Instructor: Eric Blumberg
Eric started teaching at Wilson’s in 2013, when he became certified in Les Mills GRIT. An ACE-Certified Personal Trainer, he also taught Les Mills CxWorX and BodyPump for a time, but then decided to focus solely on his first love… GRIT, which he dubs “the toughest workout in the gym”. Eric likes to be challenged to push his personal limits and so he brings that same feeling to his classes. He challenges his GRIT family to push themselves past what they think they can do to reach their next level of fitness.
Eric doesn’t call what he does ‘teaching’ class… instead, he’s ‘coaching’ class. He’s encouraging and motivating his class to reach new heights. When class is done, he enjoys getting to know his participants better so it feels like a family. People in his class ask where someone is when a regular doesn’t make it. Eric also runs a GRIT Facebook page called Wilson’s GRIT Athletes, where he posts articles about the benefits of HIIT (high intensity interval training) and why it’s great for you. In the summer, he holds GRIT at the Beach Club; a special class outside where participants earn a free day for themselves and a friend at the Beach Club.
Fusion Hot 60*

This practice utilizes the same sequences from Hot Fusion 90 with the exception of 1 round (rather than 2) of standing strength postures and includes the fully vinyasa flow as well as 10 minutes for core, stretch and a short savasana. Instructor: Kelie Morgan
Kelie holds certifications in Les Mills BodyStep, BodyPump, BodyAttack, GRIT, BodyFlow, and CXWorX, and has completed YogaFit Levels 1, 2, and 3. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) and has her USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach and has achieved her CrossFit Level 1 certification.
Always athletic, Kelie was active in sports when she was younger, but didn’t discover group fitness until after she had her second baby and needed to get 60 pounds of pregnancy off. She started attending BodyStep and was instantly hooked. “The endorphins and the adrenaline were real and so were the results!” Less than year later, she went to her first training. That was in 2008 and she’s been teaching multiple classes every week since. Currently, Kelie teaches Fusion, BodyStep, and TRX/Kettle Circuit.
At first, becoming an instructor was about the challenge of doing something far outside of her comfort zone. But once she started, it became more about her members. “I realized that I could help them and lift them, even if it was just for one hour a day. It was clear to me then, that this was not just a hobby or a fun pastime for me, it was my passion.”
Kelie wants her participants to know that she has been where they have been.; she’s been overweight and out of shape, she’s been injured, overworked and overstressed. She knows the reasons that stop them from taking that first scary step into the group fitness studio. But she promises, “I will be there to welcome you, introduce you to a friend and above all else, give you a great workout!”[email protected]

Amanda Oleiro knows how to bring fun to fitness, and, as a former competitive swimmer, runner and rower, she knows how to push her body to the limit. Applying that combination to her teaching makes her members work hard and love every minute of it. Amanda has been teaching at Wilson’s since 2013 with a certification in Les Mills Sh’Bam, and also Les Mills GRIT Series. She also teaches Hot Barre in the hot studio.
Group fitness helped Amanda appreciate all her body does for her. “I wanted to be an instructor in hopes of giving back and helping others feel the same appreciation.” The best thing she likes about teaching is ‘getting goofy and sassy’ in order to put smiles on the faces of her participants. “I love getting to know members. If you ever want to talk fitness and fun, by all means, come talk to me.”
Katie Tillman is certified in Les Mills BodyAttack, Sh’Bam and RPM, Stages Indoor Cycling and Flight, and YogaFit Level 1, and is also a Certified Personal Trainer through ISSA and SCW. She currently teaches RPM and Sh’Bam. She took personal training clients and coached Team Training for a couple of years when her kids were babies, but now she works full time and teaches group fitness in her free time.
Katie started teaching because she always took dance growing up, and almost all group fitness classes involve teaching choreography to music, so it felt right. She also felt like group fitness inspired her to become fitter and healthier than she could have ever become on her own. She continues to teach because the gym is like a second family. Her fellow instructors and class members are her friends, and class is a space of acceptance and positivity – she goes to class to have fun! “It’s one of the rare opportunities that, as an adult, you get to participate in a fun, voluntary group activity that doesn’t involve drinking!”
Her favorite part about teaching is making people feel successful and proud – that can happen at any level, and it is key to getting people to come back and make fitness a permanent lifestyle. She also likes motivating people to work harder than they ever would outside the studio – and like it!
