Laurie Oberweather

Laurie Oberweather

Laurie holds a KettleWorX certification and teaches all 3 formats: Resistance, Cardio and Core. She’s also received in-house training and teaches Hot Barre in the hot studio & studio barre. Laurie has taught at Wilson’s since 2014 when another instructor encouraged her to go for her aspiration of becoming an instructor.  She finds teaching to be great motivation for trying to be a better version of herself. “I am constantly learning and evolving as an instructor. And I meet fabulous people along the way!” As a new mom, finding time to work out is a struggle, but she feels it’s more important than ever to stay active and healthy with a little one watching everything she does. Working out has always been a great stress-reliever and way to clear her mind; now, in seeking balance in her new role as a mother, she finds it’s also an absolute necessity for her sanity. “My favorite part about teaching is the opportunity to provide that stress relief for someone else. I feel honored to be a fitness guide and do my best to take a little off your plate and give you a great workout in which you don’t have to worry or think, just have fun and MOVE!”

When she’s not teaching, Laurie is a Property Manager at Callahan & Galloway, momma to Evie Gene, and wife to Kyle.

Adam Everson

Adam Everson

Adam is a personal trainer, certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and teaches Kettle Circuit, TRX, and TBW classes.  He started at Wilson’s in 2018 but was an instructor for three years prior.  Adam has been active his whole life, but it wasn’t until 2015 when he decided to dedicate himself to learning more about the science behind exercise and fitness.  He is also a mental health professional with experience in exercise psychology.  His mental health training has provided insight into behavior change and motivation that he uses in his teaching.

Adam loves seeing people succeed and find enjoyment in exercise.  In his classes, he always tries to incorporate some level of education, whether its what something is, or why the class is doing it.  “Knowledge is one of the most empowering gifts you can give someone, so I always incorporate education as a means of empowering my class.”  The other part that is so rewarding about teaching is the social circle it develops.  “Just through shared experiences and proximity, you get to know the people you see every week for class without even meaning to. When someone is gone, you notice it!  So for anyone looking to find a program to stick it, I recommend coming to a weekly class!  You will begin to build those connections, and you’ll quickly find those friends will hold you accountable.”  Also, Adam enjoys a good laugh so expect at least a handful of jokes every time you take one of his classes!

Maggie Lohmeyer

Maggie Lohmeyer

Maggie is a Missouri native and a Mizzou grad. After practicing with some amazing teachers in San Francisco for two years, she felt like teaching was a deeper calling. She received her 200 RYT in Ashtanga from Abhjina school of yoga in Varkala, India in November 2018. While living in San Francisco and at her training in India, she realized how inaccessible yoga is to those who can’t afford a class or feel that their body isn’t ‘built’ for yoga. She hopes to be able to offer her classes as a way for all bodies to experience the amazing mind and body benefits of a regular practice. Outside of yoga, Maggie is also a runner. Her latest races were the Run Under the Stars 50k and the Big Sur Marathon.  You might see her running around Columbia as she trains for her next race!  Maggie is excited to make Wilson’s Fitness a home this fall and share her love of fitness with others!
