CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

Group Fitness will practice social distancing. We invite all Wilson’s members to workout at either the Forum or Rangeline location during this time. 

  • For Barre Classes, we will be providing therabands for sale. These will be available for $4 cash with Member Services.
  • For Aqua Classes, we will be providing noodles for sale. These will be available for $10 cash with Member Services.
  • Specialty Classes will be online for sign up as soon as we have them ready. For now, all others will limited and will be on a first come basis. Cycling participants will still have a sign-up with Member Services.
  • Please bring your own mat for Yoga and Barre Classes.
  • We will continue to offer and update you with a variety of online classes including Les Mills classes, Barre, Yoga, and Strength/Cardio Classes. 

ONLINE CLASSES

SPECIALTY CLASSES & WHAT TO BRING

*Specialty Classes are $7.50 + tax for any Wilson’s member and $15.00 + tax for non-members. HH = Happy Hour Classes are $5.00 + tax for members and non-members.

Contact MEMBER SERVICES to find out how to add Specialty Classes (those marked with *) to your membership and enroll for free.

  1. Please bring a water bottle to all classes to stay hydrated.
  2. Yoga mats are required for yoga and barre classes.
  3. Aerobics specific shoes are recommended for cardio classes and S.P.D. cycling shoes are recommended for cycling classes.
  4. Schedule is subject to change due to low attendance, instructor injury or instructor availability.
  5. Inclement weather policy: Please call ahead for changes to due weather.

Classes have been set up to complement each other. Please feel free to attend more than one class to achieve overall fitness.

*SPECIALTY CLASS ENROLLMENT:  (Regular classes do not require enrollment)  Advanced booking is encouraged for Specialty Classes and is available one week prior to class.

  1. Enroll online or at your club.
  2. No refunds are given for cancellations less than two hours prior to class time.
  3. If you have not enrolled prior to arriving at the club, you may be placed on a waiting list until 5 minutes before class begins.
  4. Once you arrive at the club, please check in at the front desk and receive a wristband which will be collected by the instructor prior to the start of class.
  5. All participants must have signed in 5 minutes prior to start of class to ensure their spot. This is for your safety to get acclimated to the heat as well as to open space for those on the waiting list. If you have not checked in 5 minutes prior to class, your spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list and no refunds will be given.
  6. For those whose membership includes unlimited free specialty classes, a cancellation fee of $5 will be assessed to your account for any class cancelled less than 2 hours prior to class. A $5 cancellation fee will also be assessed if you are too late to attend or don’t show up for class.

Stages Flight invites the indoor cyclist into a whole new world of exciting experiences, challenges and competitions. With Stages Flight, cyclists can race against themselves, each other or even the clock. Each rider has a customized intensity profile based on % max watt produced by the Stages Power Meter, the same device that Team Sky, winner of the Tour de France, trained on. You’ll feel like you’re truly in the zone as images displayed on a large screen create one-of-a-kind experiences.

blankSunny is certified in Stages Indoor Cycling and Flight and has been teaching Flight classes at Wilson’s since 2018.  She’s been highly active for most of her life, from weightlifting in high school, to collegiate basketball and volleyball, to completing 10 marathons and 2 Ironman triathlons!  She loves to be active and encourage people; becoming a fitness instructor was the perfect marriage of the two.  What she loves most about teaching are the personal connections she makes with her participants.

This barre inspired workout is one of the fastest, most effective ways to burn calories and get toned! Yes, Hot Barre is centered around a ballet barre and inspired by the workout routine by ballet legend Lotte Berk, but the barre is simply there to provide stability, balance, and support as you move through exercises that target the core, glutes, arms, and legs. No dance experience necessary, you just need to know these three numbers: 95 degrees, 45 minutes, 800 calories! Not recommended during pregnancy. Please consult your physician.

blankKarri is certified in Les Mills BodyPump, BodyStep, and BodyVive, teaching group fitness since 2006, and at Wilson’s since 2012. As a regular participant, she was encouraged by one of her instructors to pursue teaching and has been leading her own classes since, currently on the schedule with BodyPump and Hot Barre.

Karri is excited to help others have fun while exercising. “What I love the most is watching the transformation that happens in people when they commit to a new workout routine.” By trade she is a CPA. Teaching group fitness is what she does for fun!

blankPhillip has been teaching on the Wilson’s team since 2016, when he earned his Group Fitness and Les Mills GRIT certifications.  He currently teaches GRIT and Kickboxing.  Phillip became an instructor shortly after two other GRIT instructors talked him into it!  He regularly teaches early morning (5:30am) classes and is always inspired by his dedicated regulars who wake up so early to put in the work.  An Air Force Veteran, Phillip is no stranger to tough workouts!

blankCandace, a Columbia native, has a strong dance background. She began her dance training at five years old when she was enrolled in ballet at her family’s church.  Around the age of eleven, she was enrolled in the Halcyone Ewalt Perlman School of Ballet, now the Perlman-Stoy School of Ballet (Mid-Missouri Dance Theatre), where she studied under the close tutelage of Halcyone Perlman and performed in yearly concerts from junior high through high school.  In addition to dance, Candace is very athletic and played volleyball from 7th-9th grade. In high school, she successfully auditioned and was accepted into the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center.  Shortly after moving to New York City, she began professional dance training at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center where she studied ballet, West African, Modern, Horton, Dunham, dance choreography, and more. Today, Candace resides in Columbia, and is a licensed cosmetologist at Riversong Spa and Salon.  She is a guest instructor and choreographer at the Perlman-Stoy School of Ballet.  Candace is wife to husband, Eric, and mother to two precious children, Jamila and Xavier.

Working out and staying active helps Candace continue to do what she is very passionate about…dance.  Candace started teaching at Wilson’s in 2016 and earned her certification in Les Mills BodyAttack in 2017.  She currently teaches Hot Barre and BodyAttack. She is passionate about helping people achieve their goals and look their best. She would be elated to have you in any of her classes!

blankBeth has been an instructor for Wilson’s since 2009 and is currently teaching CxWorX and KettleWorX.  Not only does she have her BS from Mizzou in Nutrition and Fitness, but is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association).  Additionally, she holds certifications through KettleWorX and Les Mills BodyFlow, BodyJam, BodyVive, and CxWorX.

Animal Flow combines ground-based movement with various bodyweight-training disciplines for a fun, challenging workout with multi-planar, integrated movement.  Progressive strength, power, and control will be gained as we train specific movements in stations to include Animal Flow, strength, and cardio.  Not recommended during pregnancy.  Please consult your physician.

blankMalcolm is a NASM-certified Personal Trainer and hold his Level 1 certification in Animal Flow.  He began training at Wilson’s in 2018 and teaching Animal Flow in 2019.  His fitness background includes strength training and boxing.  Malcolm wanted to become a trainer and instructor to share his knowledge and love for fitness, and to help people reach their goals.  His enthusiasm for exercise shines through during his classes – he loves to have fun!
