Prenatal/Postpartum Yoga uses postures, breathing, and meditation to help ease pregnancy, delivery, and the after-effects of birth. The class creates strength, focus, flexibility, and awareness through a gentle practice designed especially for the pregnant woman’s needs. The class also helps postpartum women regain vitality and energy that may have been lost during pregnancy with specific focus on rebuilding strength in the abdomen, back, and pelvic muscles, releasing tension in the shoulders and neck, and opening the chest. This class may use props, such as pillows and blankets, so please bring any items that will facilitate the most comfort.
