Hot Yoga

Why heat?

When your body is cold, you contract, and it becomes difficult to move. As muscles and joints warm, they loosen, decreasing resistance to movement. In a yoga class in a heated environment, there exists external and internal heat. Motion creates heat from the inside out; the heated room provides heat from the outside in, and so you move deeper into a pose with less chance of injury. "Hot" is also a state of mind, suggestive of the intensity of effort and resulting invigoration encouraged by yoga performed in heat.

*Yoga mat and water are required for class. A towel is also recommended.
