Wilson's Group Fitness Team

Karen Apple Karen Apple Karen has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Her Yoga instruction is from YogaFit Training Systems Worldwide, Inc. A back injury and prompting from her doctor introduced her to the world of yoga and she fell in love with the many benefits one receives from practicing yoga! She incorporates a mixture of Vinyasa and Ashtanga to get a nice balance of flow and cardiovascular work. In addition Karen is a health and wellness coach, teaching others about good nutrition and healthy life tips. She enjoys helping and watching others feel and look better and each yoga class she teaches she encourages with humor and motivation, with the goal at the end of the class for her students to feel relaxed yet rejuvenated. Not an easy feat, but her students say she does just that!

Chuck Archer
Chuck first got started in fitness while attending Central Missouri State University in 1982, through weight training and running. He continued to weight train through the remainder of the 80’s, and took up cycling in the early 90’s. In 1994 he first saw the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon on television, and decided he would join the multisport world. He participated in his first triathlon in 1995 during the Showme State Games. After an extremely humble showing, Chuck decided to get serious, and took a part time job with Wilson’s, working at the front desk. Working at Wilson’s got him the access to excellent training facilities and training partners, making a huge difference in his sport performance. Chuck is a certified spinning instructor thru Madd Dogg Athletics, the Johnny G. endorsed spinning certification trainers. He has been a spinning instructor for Wilson's Total Fitness Center for 11 years, and most recently began teaching Ab Lab in 2008. Among the races he has competed in addition to numerous triathlons, duathlons, 5k’s, are The Kansas Death Race, The Chicago Men’s Health Urbanathlon, Ozark Greenways Adventure Race, and most recently in the Lewis and Clark Half Marathon. He is the 2 time defending age group champion (45-49) of the MaxTrax Dualthlon, and won his age group and took second place overall at the 2009 DuZou Duathlon.
